Our first year on the plot began with us cutting back and digging brambles out of our first plot, which hadn't been cultivated for years. We then managed to grow a load of vegetables and fruit that we didn't think was possible. It was all very experimental but very satisfying.

Our second year on the plot and we began to dig our second plot. We grew more varieties of vegetables but a strange year of weather meant there were some failures as well as successes. We added two beehives and a shed to our plot and shovelled a lot of manure into the soil.

Our third year has only just begun but we are currently digging the ground to create a fruit cage and hope to get a polytunnel finally this year... unlikely though. We've got more sensible seeds to sow this year so that we can actually reap more than we weed.
